The Planning Work Program (PWP) serves as the budget for RPO operations, which includes (but is not limited to) salary, fringe, indirect costs, cost of space, supplies, and equipment.

Funding for the PWP is broken down as follows:

80%: Federal State Planning & Research (SPR) Funds - Allocated annually by NCDOT

15%: State Local Match Assistance Funds Per NCGS 136-214 - Allocated annually by NCDOT

5%: Local Matching Funds - Allocated annually by Beaufort County, Martin County, and Pitt County
